Wales is set to ban wild animals from performing in circuses.

Wales is set to be the third region of the UK to ban wild animals in circuses: England and Scotland have already banned wild animals from performing in circuses.

Now, the only part of the UK which hasn't banned wild animals from performing in circuses in, Northern Ireland.

The Welsh Parliament voted to ban animals in circuses. But the ban won't come into effect until later this year, on the 1st of December 2020.
