The UK Met Office has given its first-ever 'heatwave warning' for the UK.
A heatwave warning has been issued for most parts of the UK, including - England, Wales and Northern Ireland. This comes as the UK is experiencing very high temperatures. Yesterday, Northern Ireland recorded its highest ever temperature, with one part of Northern Ireland reaching a very high 31.2C recently.
This extreme heatwave warning comes at the same time that wild animals in the UK are struggling with the heat.
Recently it has been reported that wild animals have been admitted to a wildlife hospital in England due to animals like hedgehogs suffering from dehydration caused by the very warm temperatures that we are currently having.
Please remember to put out water and food to help animals survive the heat.
