The UK government is to introduce a new law which would help the world's rainforests. This would be world-leading legislation to protect the rainforests.
The law would require larger businesses to comply with the laws that protect areas like rainforests, in the countries where rainforests are found.
The new Environment Bill, which will implement this law, is being presented today.
It is a law which aims to:

🌳 Working with local farmers
This law is great news for the world's rainforests, and for the animals and people who live within the rainforests and rely on the rainforests for their survival.
The world's rainforests are home to thousands of unique plants and animals, that are often found nowhere else on the earth.
These forests are also home to indigenous peoples.
By saving and preserving the world's rainforests, not only does the environment benefit from it, but people and animals also benefit from it too.
