The UK has just seen its coldest temperature on record since 1955!

Last night seen the UK record its coldest temperature on record in February since the 23rd of February in 1955. The coldest temperature was recorded in Braemar, in Aberdeenshire, where the temperature fell to a very cold minus 23 celsius.

During 1963, the UK had seen its coldest winter that it has had for 200 years. The winter in 1963 was more severe and prolonged - it was so cold the temperature dropped to just below minus 20 celsius.
