During a time when wildlife is declining, when we live during a biodiversity crisis and climate change, helping wildlife has never been so important.
We all have the power to make a positive difference for animals.
Imagine the positive change we could all make if we did something for wildlife every Wednesday. There are many different things that we can do -
. Plant some flowers in your garden
. Create a mini-meadow in your garden
. Create a hedgehog highway
. Do something in your community each Wednesday
. Draw something nature or wildlife inspired
. Paint something nature or wildlife inspired
. Write something inspired by nature, wildlife or the environment
. Create something new for wildlife
. Bake wildlife-themed cupcakes or cookies
. Instead of throwing something out, think of upcycling it
These are just some of the things that you could do on Wildlife-Friendly Wednesday.
When we create something wildlife-themed then we help wildlife by raising awareness about it, when we create wildlife-friendly gardens we help nature by giving animals home, and when we dedicate at least one day to wildlife every week then we connect with wildlife and the natural world around us.
The aim of creating Wildlife-Friendly Wednesday is to create a day where we can dedicate some time to nature, help wildlife and raise awareness about it.
