The 'Extinct' Giant Galapagos Tortoise Is Found Again!

A tortoise that was thought to be extinct has been found again.


The Giant Galapagos Tortoise has been found again, as it was thought that the Giant Galapagos Tortoise was extinct. The tortoise was found in 2019, however, it has just recently been confirmed that the tortoise is the Giant Galapagos Tortoise.


The tortoise was found on one of the Galapagos islands called the Fernandina Island, this Giant Galapagos Tortoise was found by scientists.


The tortoise is a female tortoise that has been named Fern.


The last Giant Galapagos Tortoise was found on Fernandina Island was in 1906.
