The Amazon Rainforest Is Still On Fire

Amazon Rainforest Fires 2017

The Amazon rainforest is still on fire.

Not only is the Amazon rainforest still on fire today; these fires are also thought to be worse than the Amazon rainforest fires of last year.

Last years Amazon rainforest fires shocked the world. The fires in the Amazon rainforest last year were the most shocking fires in living memory that we have seen.

Sadly, this year, the forest fires are continuing to this day. You can see a map of the forest fires which are happening across South America below.

Map Of The Current Amazon Rainforest Fires

These fires happening in South America, have been happening over the last 24 hours. The fires in South America are not just happening within the Amazon rainforest; they are also fires happening in another important and beautiful ecosystem in South America - that other ecosystem is the Pantanal wetlands.

The Pantanal wetlands is the world's largest wetland ecosystem. These wetlands are spread across three different countries. Those three countries are - Brazil, Paraguay and Bolivia. The Pantanal wetlands is a beautiful tropical wetlands ecosystem.

Pantanal Wetlands

Several unique animals are found within the Pantanal wetlands. These animals include the Giant Anteaters and Jaguars. These beautiful animals are some of the most unique animals in the world.

The Fires Of The Pantanal Wetlands 2020

In 2020, the fires in the Pantanal wetlands have been massive and devastating. It has been reported that there have been thousands of fires in the Pantanal wetlands in 2020. It is estimated that there have been over 12,000 fires in the Pantanal wetlands so far.

The fires recorded in the Pantanal wetlands this year has set a new record for fires in that ecosystem - the fires are the worst fires the Pantanal wetlands have ever seen.

The Amazon Rainforest Fires 2020

The Pantanal wetlands fires and the Amazon rainforest fires happening this year are said to be the worst fires that have happened there during the last decade.

In August this year, it has been estimated that there were 31,500 fires in the Amazon rainforest. The fires that happened during August 2020, were the worst fires seen in the Amazon rainforest in a decade.

Sadly these forest fires in the Amazon rainforest, have continued into this month, September 2020. These fires harm and kill the animals that live within the Amazon rainforest and the Pantanal wetlands. However, it's not clear how many animals have been killed in these fires. But the result of these fires is likely to be devastating.

It's unknown how many animals these fires in the Amazon rainforest and Pantanal wetlands have killed.

A Unique and Beautiful Ecosystem

The Amazon rainforest is a truly beautiful place, with unique and beautiful wild animals and unique and beautiful scenery.

It is one of the last true wildernesses of the Earth.

The Amazon rainforest is the largest rainforest in the world. It is also the largest forest in the world. It's thought to contain 1.2 billion acres of rainforest.

Most of the world's last uncontacted tribes are found in Brazil; most of these uncontacted tribes are living within the Amazon rainforest. Therefore, it is not just animals at risk of the destruction of the Amazon rainforest, it is also people who are at risk of the destruction of the Amazon rainforest.

Animals that live in the Amazon rainforest are also at risk of the destruction of the Amazon rainforest. The saddest thing is, we have likely destroyed animal species and plant species that we have never identified. This is because there is thought to be species of plant and animals that we haven't even discovered yet. Even today, we have discovered hundreds of new species from the Amazon rainforest that we have never identified before. For example, just a few years ago, scientists discovered 381 new species in the Amazon in 2017.

By saving the Amazon rainforest, we save species too that we might not even know to exist right now. The thing about the fires in the Amazon rainforest and the Pantanal wetlands is that they seem to be preventable as they are started deliberately. Fires are often started deliberately in places like the Amazon rainforest so that people can clear the land for agricultural use for products that seem to mostly go to places like Europe.

By changing the way we source and consume products, we can save beautiful ecosystems like the Amazon rainforest and the Pantanal wetlands.

The fires are having a heartbreak and devastating impact on wildlife.
