Tesco is supporting the Greenpeace campaign to stop deforestation in the Amazon rainforest.
This is amazing news and very welcoming, especially during a time when forest fires have been raging through the Amazon rainforest - for the last two years, forest fires have been raging through the Amazon rainforest, and this year, forest fires in the Amazon appear to have increased.
Forest firest and the destruction of the Amazon rainforest is largely caused by consumer products we eat, such as soya and beef - the land is cleared by fires started by farmers to clear the land so that the same land can be used for farming purposes.
Changing the way we source products can help keep the rainforest standing.
