Iberian Lynx

Successful wildlife conservation work has saved many species from going extinct; according to a new report.

The new report has been published in a journal called 'Society for Conservation Biology'.

The new report is called 'How many bird and mammal extinctions has recent conservation action prevented?' The report focuses on species which have been threatened with extinction. It focuses on bird species and mammal species which have been prevented from going extinct; they have been prevented from going extinct because of successful wildlife conservation work.

It found that since 1993, wildlife conservation work has prevented between 21 to 32 bird species from becoming extinct and 7 to 16 mammal species from becoming extinct. Which is great news for these bird and mammal species which have been saved.

There is also other great news, as other bird and mammal species have been saved since 2010. Since 2010, wildlife conservationists have saved 9 to 18 bird species and 2 to 7 mammals from extinction.

Several beautiful animals have been saved from extinction over the last two decades, thanks to wildlife conservation work.

These are some of the animals which have been saved over the last two decades thanks to wildlife conservation work:
