Common Spoonbills

There is some great news today for spoonbills!

The RSPB has reported that spoonbills in Suffolk have successfully raised and fledged chicks for the first time in 300 years.

The spoonbills have been present there for the last decade. However, there was no breeding until recently.

The RSPB has been helping spoonbills so that they could have chicks. To help the spoonbills, the RSPB has been doing things like restoring natural habitats. Natural habitats are essential for animals survival in the wild.

Recently, 4 chicks have successfully fledged from different nests in Suffolk, which is great news to start the week!
