Scotland has reached its highest September temperature in 115 years.


The highest temperature reached was 28.6C last week.


This is unseasonably warm for Scotland at this time of year. With temperatures usually being much cooler than they were today in the country.


The highest temperature recorded in September in Scotland was considerably higher, the highest September temperature reached 32.2C in 1906.
