There is some very sad news, as Magawa the hero rat has died.
Cute Magawa became famous in 2020 when he won the PDSA Gold Medal Award. The PDSA Gold Medal Award has been called the George Cross Award for animals.
Magawa became the first rat in history to win the award.
Magawa won the award because of his heroism in helping people clear landmines: something that has helped both people and animals.
During his career, Magawa helped to clear 100 landmines in Cambodia, helping to save the lives of both people and animals.
Magawa is a cute and brave hero rat: thank you for your bravery Magawa.
