Red Wolves are one of the world's most endangered animals.


Today, Red Wolves are incredibly endangered.


These beautiful animals are very close to extinction today. Red Wolves are critically endangered today. These beautiful Wolfs are so rare that there are only 10 Red Wolves in the wild today, making them very vulnerable to extinction.

Where Are Red Wolves Found?


Red Wolves have been native to the southeastern United States of America.


The 10 Red Wolves in the wild are only found living within North Carolina in the United States of America. Therefore, Red Wolves today are mostly gone from their historic range in southeastern USA.


There is also estimated to be 250 Red Wolves In Captivity.


The Decline Of Red Wolves


Red Wolves have declined dramatically during the last few years.


The Red Wolf population was much higher in 2006 than it is today. In 2006, the Red Wolf population was 130 individual Red Wolves.


The population today of Red Wolves and their decline over recent years is not the only concern about Red Wolves today. What is also concerning is that there was no litters of Red Wolves born in 2019 or 2020; this is concerning for the future of Red Wolves. New litters of Red Wolves are essential to preventing this animals extinction.

Helping To Preserve Red Wolves


Although things may not look good for Red Wolves, there is still hope that we can preserve Red Wolves and prevent their extinction.


However, due to their very small population today, time is running out for Red Wolves and for preserving these beautiful animals for the future.
