Petition To Save The Scottish Wildcats Forest Reaches Over 900,000 Signatures!

Scottish Wildcat

A petition to save the Scottish Wildcats forest home is very successful.

The petition called 'Save the Scottish Wildcat By Protecting The Clashindarroch Forest' has now reached over 900,000 signatures.

The Clashindarroch forest is in Aberdeen, the forest is one of the very few places that Scottish Wildcats are found today in the wild. Up until the late Victorian era, the Scottish Wildcat was found in England and Wales, however, they went extinct during the late Victorian era there. Soon after that, the Scottish Wildcat also went extinct in Southern and central Scotland.

Today, the Scottish Wildcat is still extinct from southern and central Scotland. They are also mostly gone from Northern Scotland too.

Scottish Wildcats are on the brink of extinction today, it is estimated that there is only 35 Scottish Wildcats in the wild of Scotland today. Therefore, they are very vulnerable to extinction today, and, to prevent their extinction, we need to do everything we can to protect them and their forest home.

Almost 1 million people now are calling for the Scottish Wildcats forest home to be saved. By saving the forest, we can save the Scottish Wildcats.
