Animal snares are still legal in the UK.
Snares trap animals and cause them painful, long deaths. They are cruel and barbaric. They are also outdated.
Snares are archaic and belong in the dark ages. But sadly, they are still legal in the UK to use against some animals. These death traps not only harm and kill the animals that it is legal to use snares on, they also have killed cats and dogs.
There are many different animals that have been trapped and killed by snares, these animals include - foxes, rabbits, badgers, dogs and cats.
In 2012, it was estimated that 1.7 million animals are trapped in snares in the UK every year, resulting in cruelty towards a huge number of animals every year.
