A new slaughterhouse is being proposed in Northern Ireland.
The slaughterhouse has been condemned and criticized; it has also been called a hell-like proposal. The slaughterhouse would be hell for the pigs sent there.
The slaughterhouse is proposed to be built in Ballymoney, in Northern Ireland and would be a place where sows would be sent. It is estimated that this slaughterhouse would take the lives of 7,000 pigs every single week.
The good news is that a petition has been started to stop the proposed slaughterhouse from being built. The petition is called 'Stop Pig Slaughterhouse At Ballymoney NI; Save Pigs and Local Community From Proposed Hell.' The petition has already gained over 26,000 signatures. You can also help to stop the slaughterhouse from going ahead by signing the petition.
You can find and sign the petition - here.
