Military Dog Called Kuno Recieves The Animal Victorian Cross

Dog (But Not Kuno)

A military dog called Kuno has received a medal for being a hero.

The medal that Kuno has received is the animal equivalent of the Victoria Cross. The Victoria Cross is the highest medal that soldiers can receive in the British army.

The animal version of the Victoria Cross is called the Dickin Medal.

The Dickin Medal is awarded by the animal charity the PDSA. The award was established in 1943 as a way to honour the animals that helped during World War II. It is an award that is awarded to animals who help the army to this day.

This year's recipient of that award is Kuno, a dog that is a Belgian Malinois. Kuno is a four-year-old dog who has shown great bravery.

You can see more about Kuno receiving his award below!

Congratulations Kuno!
