May 2020 Was The Sunniest Month On Record For The UK

The UK has been breaking some climate records recently.

It was reported that this Spring in the UK, the Spring of 2020, was the sunniest one since records began: records began recording sunlight duration almost one hundred years ago.

Now it has been reported that May 2020 was the sunniest calendar month on record.

Last month seen the country have 266 hours of sunshine. This surpassed the last record which was set in 1957 when there were 265 hours of sunshine in May.
