The PDSA is an animal charity that helps pets.
They help pets by providing vet care for pets and by providing tips and advice for pet owners on how they can look after their pets well. The PDSA helps provide vet care for sick and injured pets and helps to provide people with vet care to those who are in financial need.
The PDSA helps provide people with vet care and assistance to those who are in poverty and have pets. With the pandemic and lockdowns, more people have been pushed into poverty and lost their jobs, which makes animal charities like the PDSA who help the poor and their pets more essential now, than ever.
This year, the PDSA has reported that they have seen a massive 81% increase in pet owners who have been asking about their pet hospital service.
The PDSA is helping to fight the pet care crisis (something you can find out more about on the PDSA's own website!).
They have also created their own emergency appeal for pets during the covid crisis. The PDSA is still working hard to help animals and their owners, as their work still goes on during this pandemic - they help pets by providing pets who have illnesses or who have sadly been in an accident; by giving pets veterinary treatment.
They couldn't help pets and the poorest people help their pets if it wasn't for kind people helping to support the PDSA. As Christmas is a time for giving, it is a great time to give something back, and, what better way to give back than helping the poorest pets and their owners at this time of year.
If you would like to support the PDSA, you can support their emergency appeal here!
