The highest New Year's Eve temperature on record in the UK was recorded today in Bala Wales when an unseasonably high temperature of 16.5c was recorded.
The New Year's Eve highest recorded temperature was also recorded in Scotland: in Kinlochewe in Scotland, the temperature reach a warm 16.1c.
In England, the temperature reached 15.9c in Keswick. And, in Northern Ireland, the highest temperature was 15c and recorded in Magilligan.
These temperatures are an indication of climate change and a warming planet. These temperatures in the UK are usually seen in late Spring and early Summer temperatures and we are seeing them months earlier than they should be happening.
