The wild plant conservation charity Plantlife, has created a petition to help save flowers on road verges.
Plantlife are working with local councils to help save flowers on road verges as they are a good way to help pollinators like bees and butterflies can benefit from road verges with flowers on them.
Road verges won't just benefit insects like butterflies and bees, they will also benefit other wildlife, the climate and people. They benefit people because road verge flowers contribute to a healthier environment and the flowers along roads look pretty.
You can help Plantlife protect flowers on road verges by signing their petition.
The petition is asking councils to manage road verges in a way that doesn't harm wild flowers and other nature. It's a petition that asks to preserve wildlife for those living today and future generations. Almost 100,000 people have already sighed the petition.
