Many governments across the world have already decleared a climate emergency to tackle the issue of climate change. However, climate change is not the only challenge we face.
The other challenge that we face, is, the biodiversity crisis.
The biodiversity crisis is also known as the sixth mass extinction. It is believed that we are currently in a sixth mass extinction because species are disappearing quicker than is normal.
The amount of species that are disappearing is enormous.
It is believed that 150 species PER DAY are wiped out on the planet.
Most of the species that go extinct don't even make the news and we never hear about them, or know about their extinction. Most of the species that are endangered, or go extinct, that we hear about are the big animals and the cute and cuddly ones. Yet, it is the smaller animals that are often more important to ecosystems that need to have the attention given to them.
The only ways to prevent the sixth mass extinction is to preserve the natural world and to rewild the world. If we don't, then many more species will disappear from this planet forever.
We can help nature by declaring a biodiversity crisis.
You can do that by signing this petition - here!
