This includes animals such as - pigs, tigers, cats, dogs, snakes, butterflies, ladybirds, birds, squirrels and every other species of animal we share our beautiful world with.
Animals are full of charisma and love. They each have their own unique personalities and brighten up the world, to make the world a beautiful place.
World Animal Day is celebrated every 4th of October.
The 4th of October is also St Francis of Assisi's feast day - he is the patron saint of animals and ecology.
World Animal Day is almost 100 years old.
It began back in 1925. Therefore, 2025 will mark the 100th anniversary of World Animal Day. This day - World Animal Day - is a day to celebrate animals and raise awareness about them.
The aim of World Animal Day is also to make the world a better place for animals.
We can do this by showing animals compassion, care and love.
