They are herbivores, who eat seeds, nuts and berries. Their diet depends on the forests they live within, therefore, protecting their forests is essential for their survival.
Like other squirrels, these cute animals bury their food to help them through winter.
They also eat other things, such as pines from trees.
Red Squirrels are adorable animals that can be seen in the wild in Europe and parts of Asia. They are smaller than their cousin: the Grey Squirrel.
