Today is Horse Protection Day; Happy Horse Protection Day!
Horse Protection Day happens on the 1st of March every year. The first Horse Protection Day began in 2005, and has happened ever since.
It is a day to help horses and raise awareness about them. Especially for the horses who are suffering in the world: such as the horses that are neglected and abused.
It's also a day to raise awareness about about how horses are mistreated in other ways - such as horses who are slaughtered for food, or horses who are used in 'entertainment', like the horses that are used in horse racing.
Together, we can make a kinder world for horses by creating a kinder and nicer world for them, by protecting them from suffering.
