Green Sea Turtle habitats are to be protected within Florida.
New legal protections will be brought into Flordia to help protect green sea turtle habitats within the state.
The protections are being brought in by the US District Court. The US District Court has said that the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and National Marine Fisheries Service must bring in protections for green sea turtles in Florida by the 30th of June 2023.
There are several threats that sea turtles face in Florida. These threats include things like global warming and plastic pollution.
Florida is home to five different species of sea turtle.
