Final Week Of Bird Feeding Month

Cute Robin

Today is the beginning of the final week of Bird Feeding Month.

Bird Feeding Month happens during February every year.

Birds are probably the most common wild animal that comes into our gardens. Feeding the birds is one of the best ways that you can help birds.

There are several different bird foods that you can feed the birds in your garden. Bird foods like - fat balls, bird seeds, peanuts, and suet, are great foods to feed your garden birds.

Robin

If you are giving birds peanuts, please make sure and give the birds peanuts that are specially made for garden birds, and avoid giving them nuts like salted nuts as salted nuts are toxic to birds and can kill them. It's the same with dry roasted nuts. Avoid giving the birds dry roasted nuts as they are also toxic to birds and can kill them.

It's best to stick with foods that are specially made for garden birds when you are feeding the birds.

You can also feed birds fruit and vegetables. Birds will eat fruit and vegetables if you put them out in your garden.

We have just a few more weeks left of winter. So while Bird Feeding Month is in its last week this week, please continue to keep feeding the birds during the last weeks of winter and into the spring. This can help the birds survive the winter and can help them during the spring too.

Thank You!
