Christmas Advent: Day 5!

Snow Bunting

In today's Christmas advent, we are celebrating Snow Buntings!

Snow Buntings fit right in with the winter and Christmas season. These cute little birds can be found in several countries in the Northern hemisphere. The countries that Snow Buntings are found in include - the UK, Canada, Iceland, Russia, and Norway.

Snow Buntings also live in the Arctic, which means that these cute little birds can be found in some of the coldest places in the world.

The male Snow Bunting and the female Snow Bunting look a bit different - the female Snow Bunting stands out more, as she has a yellow beak, whereas, male Snow Buntings do not have a yellow beak; the beak of a male Snow Bunting is black.

As their name suggests, Snow Buntings are more commonly found in the winter months and in cold climates - these cute birds can be seen in Britain!
