Today we are celebrating one of the world's most beloved animals: robins.
Robins are cute birds, with beautiful singing voices. They have become a part of Christmas and winter. They can be spotted more in our gardens at this time of year, than any other time of year. Their beautiful song is something to listen out for as the sun is setting, as it is one of the highlights of this time of year.
Robins is also seen on many Christmas cards. The Victorians created many of the Christmas traditions that we still have today - including sending Christmas cards. Victorian Christmas cards also had robins on the front of them.
Robins are beautiful birds, winter and Christmas wouldn't be the same without them, which is why we are celebrating these cute birds today.
