Day 2 of our Christmas calendar, and today, we are celebrating Donkeys!
Donkeys are one of the most adorable animals in the world, and, they are a central part of winter and Christmas. The reason that these animals are a central part of Christmas is that they are part of the nativity of Jesus.
The nativity of Jesus is when the birth of Jesus happened, which is why we celebrate Christmas on the 25th of December. Mary and Joseph (Jesus's mum and dad), went to Bethlehem with the help of a Donkey - which is why donkeys are a central part of Christmas and the nativity of Jesus.
Donkeys are also a cute animal to celebrate and admire.
