Canada has become the latest country to sign up to the UK's Global Ocean Alliance.
The Global Ocean Alliance was established by the UK Government last year. Originally, 10 countries signed up to the Global Ocean Alliance. Those countries were: Belgium, Belize, Costa Rica, Finland, Gabon, Kenya, Portugal, Seychelles, Vanuata and Palau.
Other countries too have since joined the Global Ocean Alliance since it was started, such as Germany and Sweden. Now Canada is the latest country to join.
The aim of the Global Ocean Alliance is to bring countries together to help protect the worlds oceans and the animal and plant life that lives within those oceans.
These are the goals of the Global Ocean Alliance:
. To protect wildlife
. To protect oceans
. To have at leas 30% of oceans protected by 2030
. To tackle plastic pollution
. To stop species going extinct
. To stop sea temperatures warming up
. Establish more Marine Protected Areas by 2030
These are the main things that the Global Ocean Alliance hopes to achieve in the next decade.
