Brazil has delayed a vote on a bill that could see more of the Amazon rainforest destroyed if it is passed.
Brazil's Amazon land reform bill was supposed to have been voted on yesterday by the Brazillian congress. However, Brazil delayed the vote yesterday after a total of 40 different retailers, including British supermarkets, said they would boycott Brazil if the bill went ahead.
British supermarkets said that they would boycott Brazil if the Brazillian government didn't protect the Amazon rainforest - they signed an open letter to the Brazil congress alongside other retail chains, urging the Brazillian congress to protect the Amazon rainforest.
The bill is delayed for now. It's unclear if it will be voted on at a later time.
