Duck and Baby Ducklings

Animals are good for relieving stress, a new report says.

Animals bring joy into our lives. From the pets that we share our homes with, to the wildlife that we share our gardens and planet with, bring us joy and love into our lives.

Spending time with animals doesn't just make us happy it also helps us to be stress-free.

And, now a new study shows that it's true!

Animal-Stress Study

Kitten In The Sunshine

The study was done by the University of Leeds in England.

The study involved students who were due to take exams. The students watched videos of animals and looked at pictures of animals for 30 minutes.

The researchers that conducted the study found the student's anxiety levels reduced after 30 minutes looking at animals. They also found that blood pressure and the heart rate of students decreased - a fast heart rate and high blood pressure are symptoms of stress.

What Animals Were The Students Shown?
