Anger At Netting Used On ASDA Store #TakeItDown

Seagull

There is anger at netting which is being used in at least one ASDA store.

The anger has come about on Twitter, after a user posted about an ASDA store that had birds trapped in netting on its roof.

You can see a picture of the trapped birds in the below Tweet.

The heartbreaking images show birds trapped in the netting.

The images have resulted in thousands of people tweeting the hashtag #TakeItDown where thousands of people have Tweeted to ASDA to take the netting down, due to the suffering that the netting causes birds.

This sort of treatment of birds (or any other animal) is cruel and lacks compassion for the other life we share this world with. Also, during a time when we also are going through a biodiversity crisis, it is also shameful, as we are already losing wildlife at an alarming rate, and causing a crisis with nature.

We should show animals compassion and the natural world respect. We should be treating other life on this planet the way that we would want to be treated.

So, ASDA, please take this cruel netting down and stop inflicting cruelty on birds, animals deserve to live on this planet in peace.
