An adorable Rat has won an award for being a Hero!
The adorable Rat is called Magawa.
Magawa has a cute job title. His job title is 'HeroRAT'.
And, adorable Magawa is certainly a hero Rat, as his job is heroic.
What Is The Job Of Magawa?
Magawa helps to look for landmines. He finds landmines in Cambodia (where he lives today) so that humans can clear the landmines.
The landmines are there in Cambodia because of past conflict within the country. Today, people are trying to clear the mines, because the mines are a danger to both humans and animals.
Magawa is clever.
He has successfully identified 39 landmines and 28 unexploded devices. Magawa has also successfully cleared over 141,000 square meters of land over the last four years.
He is brave and intelligent and, thanks to him helping humans identify these things, he has helped both people and animals live in this land without fear of being harmed.
