It is day 18 of our Christmas advent calander.
We are one week away from Christmas.
And today, in the 18th day of the Action For Earth Christmas advent calander, we are celebrating and raising awareness about Amur leopards. š
Amur leopards are one of the few big cat species that exist in the world today. They are beautiful, intelligent, and also very rare.
These beautiful big cats are one of the rarest animals in the world today.
Sadly, Amur leopards are critically endangered today. They have a very small population today, Amur leopards are so rare today that there are only around 100 of them left.
Their population has become so low due to people hunting them. Today, they are at risk of poaching and the destruction of their homes; such as the destruction of their forest habitat.
Amur leopards are nocturnal animals, they are found living in the forests of China and Russia in the wild. Protecting them and their forest homes is important if we are going to save these beautiful animals from extinction. š
