Yellowhammers are cute and cheerful-looking birds. With their yellow feathers, they are unique and recognisable.
Yellowhammers are found throughout most of Europe all year long, however, in some parts of the south of Europe, these birds are only found there in the winter.
Sadly, yellowhammers have been declining in the UK, they have declined more than 50% in the last 25 years.
Protecting yellowhammers and their habitats is important in stopping their decline and saving them for the future. 💛
