There is a return to the wild for this cute 'extinct' fish...
The fish is called the Tequila fish. They are small fish that were declared extinct in the wild. The male and female look a bit differently - the male Tequila fish is the fish that you can see from the above picture, while the female is below.
The Tequila fish was declared extinct in the wild in 2003, therefore, this cute little fish species has been extinct in the wild for almost two decades now.
But, they are now making a comeback in the wild thanks to the help of Chester Zoo. The Tequila fish vanished from the wild more than 18 years ago, but Chester Zoo has had some in captivity and now they have released 10 of the fish back into the wild.
This is great news, and now means that the Tequila fish is now back from extinction.
