Male Hen Harrier

There has been some fantastic news for Hen Harriers from England.

The great news about Hen Harriers today is that there have been 60 new Hen Harrier chicks which have successfully fledged in England. This is England's best breeding season for Hen Harriers for nearly 20 years.

Which is great news for these animals!

This is great news for Hen Harriers for two reasons. The first reason is good news, is that these birds are rare in the UK. Therefore, a good breeding season boosts this birds population. The second reason why it's such good news to see Hen Harriers have such a good breeding season in the UK, is, because, Hen Harriers are one of the most persecuted birds of prey in the UK. As a result of being one of the most persecuted birds of prey in the UK, this results in them sadly being killed. Therefore, a population boost is good for this bird, as a population boost helps this bird to recover.

A good breeding season for Hen Harriers is also essential for their survival in the future. As there are not many Hen Harriers within the UK today.

There are thought to be less than 1000 breeding pairs of Hen Harriers in the UK today. This means that their population in the UK is very low. It also means that Hen Harriers are fragile and at risk of extinction in the UK.

The news about 60 new Hen Harriers fledging in England is amazing news, as it offers hope for the future of these majestic animals in the UK.
