224 species have been discovered, Including, a 'Ghostly Monkey'.
The WWF has shared some exciting news, as they have discovered 224 species that we never knew existed before - this includes a 'Ghostly Monkey'.
The new species were discovered in the Greater Mekong region. This region includes Laos, Myanmar, Cambodia, Vietnam and Thailand.
The 224 newly discovered species are:
. 1 mammal species
. 35 reptile species
. 17 amphibian species
. 16 fish species
. 155 plant species
Of these 224 newly discovered species one is called a 'Ghostly Monkey,' another is called a 'Slug Snake,' and another is called 'Mount Ky Quan San Horned Frog.'
This is exciting news, as it shows just how much life is out there that we haven't known about and makes us think about what life out there is that is still undiscovered that we do not know about. But for now, we can get to learn about these wonderful new species that have just been discovered.
