Cambodia's Leopards Decline 72% In Just The Last Few Years

Leopard

Cambodia's leopard population has declined a staggering 72%in just the last few years alone.

The rapid decrease in these animals has been due to poaching.

The new findings are alarming, as the decline in the Cambodian Leopard population means that these animals are ''at immediate risk of extinction.''

As their name suggests, the Cambodian Leopard is native to Cambodia. These animals have also been found in Vietnam and Laos.

Wildlife conservationists are predicting that these animals will become extinct in 2018. Snaring has played a huge role in the decline of these animals.

There are few species left, which means that they could become extinct at any time.
