Why Is The Scottish Wildcat & Clashindarroch Forest In Danger?
The Scottish Wildcat is an endangered species. Wildlife conservationists think that there could be as little as only 35 cats remaining in the wild. If we are to save the Scottish Wildcat, then protecting their habitat is important.
This is where Clashindarroch Forest comes in.
This forest is an essential habitat for the Scottish Wildcat. Wildlife conservationists believe that if this forest is gone, the wildcat will become extinct.
Why?
This is because, this particular forest is essential for the survival of this species. It is home to two-thirds of wildcats. To save the Scottish Wildcat, it is essential that we save this forest. If we don't save this forest, then we might be soon witnessing the extinction of the Scottish Wildcat.
Why Is The Forest In Danger Of Disappearing?
This forest is in danger of disappearing because the Scottish government is planning to fell the forest, to make way for a wind farm.
Which seems like a self-defeating action. To save the environment, we need to protect ecosystems and wild animals, without the biodiversity of our planet, we contribute to the destruction of our planet, and the pollution of our environment. In this case, we go further though, we contribute to the extinction of the British Isles last remaining wild cat.
