Wild Animal Circus Ban For England

Wild Animals In Circus

Animal Circus Ban For England

England is set to bring an animal circus ban into effect in the near future, according to government minister, Michael Gove. It would therefore see an animal circus ban throughout most of the United Kingdom, as Scotland is also set to ban animals within circuses. Animal circuses are already banned in half of council areas, as many councils refuse to allow circuses permits, if the circuses use animals. With the UK government banning wild animals in circuses, it would effectively help ban wild animals from being used, throughout most of the UK. With England and Scotland both banning wild animals in circuses, it would leave Wales and Northern Ireland as the only regions of the UK which haven’t passed a ban on wild animals in circuses. The UK’s nearest neighbour, the Republic of Ireland, banned wild animals in circuses in November last year.

The End Is Near For The Animal Circus

The end is near for the animal circus. Last year was an excellent year for animal rights, when it came to the circus. Ireland, Scotland and Italy, were just some of the countries to ban wild animals in circuses in 2017. Several states in America also banned wild animals in circuses, including New York. And, in January 2017, we saw the end of the infamous Ringling Bros circus, which had been running for 140 years.

2018 For Circuses

This year has started picking up where 2017 left off. We are not even two years into 2018, and so far, England is banning wild animal circuses and New Jersey in the United States has banned wild animal circuses. There will be many more bans in the future, from countries, regions and states. But we don’t need to wait until then.
