Happy World Wildlife Day!
World Wildlife Day is a day to raise awareness for wildlife, and also a day to celebrate wildlife.
It's hard to celebrate wildlife when there are so many challenges that wildlife faces. Wildlife faces challenges including:
. Deforestation . The palm oil industry . Wild animals being captured to be exotic pets
. Wild animals in decline . More wild animals than ever facing extinction . Pollution . Plastic pollution . Overfishing . Sea pollution
The list is endless of the challenges that wild animals and wildlife face.

World Wildlife Day is also a day to raise awareness about plants, flowers and trees. Plants, flowers and trees are often overlooked when it comes to the environment.
We become so focused on saving the Tiger, or the Panda, that we forget that without vegetation, these wild animals wouldn't exist. There wouldn't be a place for their food or a habit for them to live in. Plants are important because of this.
But, they are also important to us. Without plants, flowers or trees, we wouldn't exist. From the trees that give us oxygen, to the plants that give us food, our survival depends on them.
But they are also crucial for a healthy environment.
The natural world offers us so much beauty. From the wild animals to the forests, oceans and beautiful landscapes...the natural world is far prettier than any human settlement.
The Human Benefits
There are many human benefits to keeping the natural world. Nature is good for our health. It's good for our mental health and physical health. Those found living near nature, particularly near water, have better mental health and happiness.
The natural world is also good for the economy and society. We all benefit from the natural world, not just the animals which live there.
Happy World Wildlife Day!
