Cats are a wonderful animal.


They are cute and adorable.


Cats also come in many different shapes and sizes. They can be found all around the world, both as pets and as wild animals found within nature.


For this, we are going to be looking at the cats which are found in nature: wild cats. There are many well known wild cats to us, such as - tigers, leopards and lions.


Let us look at the top five!


#5 Asian Golden Cat



Asian Golden Cat

The Asian Golden Cat is a species of cat which is found in some places in Asia.


For example, the Asian Golden Cat is found in southeast China.


Today, these beautiful cats are near threatened with extinction.


#4 The Caracal



The Caracal

The Caracal is a beautiful cat which is found on two continents.


They are found within Africa and Asia (such as in the middle east).


Thankfully, this beautiful cat sin't threatened with extinction today.

The Margay

The Margay is a small, adorable cat, that is found in central and South America.


The Margay shouldn't be confused with the Ocelot, which is a similar-looking cat.


Sadly, the Margay is near threatened with extinction today.


#2 The Fishing Cat



The Fishing Cat

The Fishing Cat is a gorgeous-looking cat that looks similar to a house cat.


These cats are also cool, as they hunt underwater.


Fishing Cats are found in southeast Asia.


Sadly, Fishing Cats are vulnerable to extinction today.


#1 The Borneo Bay Cat



The Borneo Bay is a very elusive cat.


There doesn't seem to be much footage of the Borneo Bay Cat; it doesn't look like these beautiful cats are spotted much in the wild. Part of the reason for that, is probably due to the cats conservation status today - the Borneo Bay Cat is an endangered species.


Boreno Bay Cats are found on the island of Borneo, in places like swamp forests.


It's thought that there is less than 2,500 Borneo Bay Cats existing in the wild today.
