There is very sad news about one of the world's most endangered animals -
The last ever female Yangtze Giant Softshell Turtle has died.
The Yangtze Giant Softshell Turtle is a turtle species which is found in China and Vietnam. But, it sadly seems as if the existence of these turtles is now coming to an End, with very few now remaining of them today.
As the last ever female of the Yangtze Giant Softshell Turtle has died, there is now only two male turtles left. They are critically endangered.
They are now very close to extinction.
