Recognizable Daisy Species Found In The UK


Daisies

Daisies are beautiful wildflowers.


They are one of the most recognizable wildflower species which are found in the UK. They are often found growing on garden lawns.


The species of daisy which is found growing on garden lawns is called the 'common daisy.' The common daisy is native to Europe, they are found across the North, west and central Europe.

There is another species of daisy which is very similar to the common daisy.


That species of daisy, is known as the oxeye daisy.

The oxeye daisy is very similar looking to the common daisy, but, there are some differences.


One of the main differences between them is their differences in height - oxeye daises are taller than common daisies.


Another difference is in where they are found. The oxeye daisy is native to Europe and parts of western Europe.

There are some of the recognizable and beautiful daisy species which are found in the UK, they are one of the most recognizable wildflowers.
