How To Help Hedgehogs With Hedgehog-Friendly Fences šŸ¾

There are many ways that we help wildlife in our gardens.

In this post, we are going to look at one way that you can make a difference for wildlife in your garden, by helping hedgehogs.

There are many different ways that you can help hedgehogs in your garden, but here, we are going to look at one of the top ways that you can help these wonderful animals and help stop their population declining.

What we do with our gardens and how they are designed, can have a major impact on wildlife and the environment.

Even things like walls and fences can have a major impact on wildlife - gardens being blocked off with walls and fences can result in hedgehogs not being able to move freely about between gardens.

Hedgehogs not being able to move between gardens is one of the reasons for their decline in recent times, and therefore, it's important to make sure hedgehogs have access to our gardens.

Walls and fences contribute to the decline in hedgehogs because it results in hedgehogs having fewer places to find food and shelter, a place to live or hibernate.

You can help hedgehogs find food and a home by making your garden wildlife-friendly, including being hedgehog-friendly.

One of the ways to make your garden is by creating a hedgehog-friendly fence, which creates a hedgehog highway for them.

To do this, have a small space at the bottom of your fence, which is big enough for hedgehogs to walk through, this gives hedgehogs a way to enter and leave your garden and helps them to find food, shelter and a place to hibernate.

You can also help hedgehogs by joining the People's Trust for Endangered Species in calling for hedgehog friendly fencing to be made, have a look at the Tweet below and find out more about how you can help hedgehogs and find out more about hedgehog friendly fences.
