Whale sharks are beautiful, gentle and graceful animals.
They are found in several places around the world, including - the Gulf of California.
Sadly though, whale sharks are an endangered species.
They are an endangered species due to things like fishing and oil.
They are also at risk from being caught in nets and sadly being hit by shipping vessels.
International Shark Whale Day gives us a day to raise awareness about whale sharks, and a day to celebrate these wonderful animals.
