Christmas Advent Day 22: Sifakas!

Sifakas

We are just 3 days away from Christmas Day, and today - is the 22nd day of our Christmas advent calendar - we are celebrating Sifakas!

Sifakas are one of the cutest animals in the animal kingdom. In the wild, Sifakas are only found living on the island of Madagascar. These cute animals are found living within the Madagascan rainforests. All species of Sifaka are threatened with extinction today; some species of Sifaka are so threatened with extinction that they are critically endangered today. When a species is critically endangered, it means that they are one step away from becoming extinct.

Sifakas are a type of Lemur. Lemurs are unique to the natural world - and so are Sifakas - as lemurs are only found on the island of Madagascar in the wild. Lemurs are found nowhere else in the world, which means protecting their Madagascan rainforest home, is crucial for their survival in the future.
